I totally enjoyed the entire book. I’m a Nana of an Army Soldier that graduates Basic Training and AIT in Combat Engineering at Fort Leonard Wood. MO, next week, Dec.14-15, 2017. Six of us at traveling there to attend Family Day and Graduation and cannot imagine missing either day. I’ve even bought Great-grandsons ages 9, 5, 2 & 1 official fatigues and hats from the BX here where we live to wear. Of course e have taught them how to Salute their Uncle Jacob.I have not missed a day writing I him and sometimes I was able to write more than once. In addition, his Mom, Girlfriend and Sisters and friends wrote often as ell. He was overwhelmed by the amount of ail he got, sadly he didn’t have time o write much, but I have saved every one.This book was ver inspirational and helpful. The photography was stunning and every quote was perfect. I drew a lot of strength from it and I’m sure I will re-read it often on my Kindle.So next week, we will be setting our sites on Fort Riley, KS, as he will be leaving after graduation. We are hoping he will get to come home soon for a visit and pick up his car.Thank you for sharing your heart-felt experiences. They were a true blessing to the Army Nana.
This book is a must have for every mom with a son or daughter in the military! It is packed full of wisdom and is a great book to help us moms "...stand strong in the face of fear." I'm sure every military mom will find affirmation and comfort in the pages of this book. I found mine on page 8. I turn to this page often. Thank you for such a wonderful book and a reminder that we military moms are not alone!
I have purchased and read this the same evening I received it. I find myself going back to it almost daily for the moments im feeling overwhelmed with everything happening so quickly and my son hasn't even left for boot camp yet. Thank you ladies for words of encouragement in this journey.
Beautifully written and a quick read. The perfect words to help Aleve a new military Moms anxiety. Knowing there are so many other Moms that have felt and are feeling this same way is comforting. I now belong to a sisterhood of Moms. The second largest Army, the 1st Batallion of Moms.
I enjoyed reading this book. As a military mom I could relate to so much of it's content. I recommend this to any other military mom. I am sharing with my friends, and they will enjoy it as well.
I bought this for a friend whose so just left for boot camp. She loves it! She told me shares quotes from it with other new military moms as well.
My wife loves this. Our son is currently deployed in S. Korea, it's been tough on mom...so this was a great choice.
It was okay as inspirational tidbits, but guess I was expecting more reading material/information. It was a very easy read though and so I expect I will be reviewing it more, especially after the deployments start.
